Bridge Section Give Sweets for Children 1957

The bridge section of the Bramhall Community Club held a special Easter evening (1957) in the parish hall. Members each took to the meeting a qtr of sweets and these made a total of 17.5lb which were presented by the club leader Mr. J. H. Douglas, to Miss Mary Wallace (2nd right), a pre-nursing student at Marple Children's Orthopaedic Hospital. Provided by Mary Dovey (nee Wallace).
