04/15/25 at 16:22Bill Beard (Marple Local History Society Archives) says: We've been trying to pin down the date of the library opening, so far unsuccessfully, but this gives us a good start. I did use the library in the later 1950s when studying for GCE O levels but couldn't date it more closely than the second half of the 1950s and this pic pins it down a bit more.
