Lodge, Oscar
Oscar Lodge used to interpret people’s character from their handwriting. He did this for various charities and ‘good causes’ like the Carver Playhouse, but didn’t always dress up - in my mother’s 1930s dressing gown back to front! In this picture he’s at a garden party in aid of the Carver in the Headridges’ garden at the end of Dale Road overlooking the deep valley of the Goyt towards the viaduct. Provided by son Ken Lodge.
