This Mill was once a corn mill that was run by my ancestors company, Francis Brindley & Co. The corn mill was originally a warehouse at the summit of the Marple Tramway. Samuel Oldknow was responsible for its conversion to a corn mill in 1807/08 when the tramway was no longer required.
