I've just googled Marple hospital in the 50s and come across some photos sent in by Cathie Williamson whose mother Joyce Cooper was a nurse there in the 50s. Guess who was in the photos ... me the curly haired girl eating a lollipop and also the cat, which I remember. I was in the hospital for about a year having been born with hip dysplasia. I think I was about 18 months when going in. My mother told me of one nurse I 'fell in love with', preferring her to my mum. I think this could have been Cathie's mother Joyce.
