Mellor Mill Fact and Fun Day 2019


A Fact and Fun Day at Mellor Mill and Roman Lakes, with guided tours of the Mill, music, food and drink and lots of things for the children to do. A great day raising funds for Mellor Archaeological Trust and Friends of Our Valley too.

Marple Festival 2019


Congratulations to Julie and Ian Smith at the Marple Review and their small team of volunteers for organising another fantastic Marple Food and Drink Festival in 2019. The weather was incredibly kind and tempted thousands of people to a busy Marple Town Centre to sample the delights of the very best of local food and drink suppliers.

Mellor Well Dressing 2021


Although Mellor Country Fete was cancelled, the dressing of Mellor Well went ahead and there was a small ceremony to bless it on Saturday 17 July 2021. The theme of the stunning display was Beatrix Potter.

Marple Festival 2021


Marple welcomed back its popular Food and Drink Festival on Saturday 25th September 2021 after the 2020 event was cancelled due to the Covid19 pandemic. This event was organised by Councillor Malcolm Allan and former councillor Craig Wright, who stepped up to ensure this popular event went ahead.
