Land for SaleTwo boys sat on a fence, probablyt Roman Lakes area, from a glass slide provided by Alan McDowell. The sign says: "This Valuable Building Land To be Sold (on?) Chief Rent. For Plans & Particulars Apply to E. Furness Strawberry Hill, Near Marple. The Branch Office St Martins Rd. Marple". Thought to be early to mid 1920s.

Lea HallThis image of Lea Hall is from the house itself and was loaned for copying by Rick Walker. Lea Hall on Low Lea Road was home to Samuel Oldknow's lady friend Miss Shaw, although at the time of this photo it was providing hot water for tea to visitors to Roman Lakes.

It certifies that Betty Longden was initiated into the order in Lodge no. 11 on 19 June 1846 and is signed by Martha Chadwick, Sarah Higginbotham and James Higginbotham. Who was Betty Longden we wonder.
