Compstall from the Cricket Ground 1950s

Compstall Cricket Ground, probably in the 1950s provided by David McLean. "The fence into Bowdens’ field is as I remember it at that time. As children we used to play cricket at that end of the field using a tennis ball and a roller chalked with wickets. If the ball was hit into the field it was “six and out” and someone had to climb over the fence!"
